Central Communications/911 Center

Central Communications or Elbert County 911 as it is sometimes called is responsible for handling all Emergency and Non-Emergency dispatches for all agencies in Elbert County and the City of Elberton.  There are 13 Full-Time and 7 Part-Time employees who man the Dispatch Center with 3 on duty 24 hours per day.  Additional assistance is provided during peak times by Emergency Services Administration Staff.

In 2011, Central Communications processed 102,000 calls which lead to 32,376 Incidents requiring dispatch of resources. 

All employees are POST Certified Communications Officers as required by the State of Georgia.
